This reddit is for people interested in modifying their Wii. Useful Links:. Be CAREFUL with the links you click on posted by other users.-a fabulous wiki about all things modding for your Wii.- Disclaimer:The Mods nor anyone who posts in are responsible for your Wii. Don't complain here. Piracy is NOT supported here:Please limit your posts and responses to modding your Wii. Posts and comments that imply, hint, or state out-right, intentions of piracy and/or any other illegal activity will be removed. You won't receive a warning.
The post or comment, if seen by a mod, will simply be removed. Do it more than once and we'll remove your ability to post. Again, you will receive no warning, and ignorance is no excuse. To clarifiy: Piracy!= Breaking Terms of Service.Pirating intellectual property is not the same as violating a company's terms of service. The former has a chance of landing you in jail, the latter could at most result in a civil suit with a fine (in the USA anyway). Piracy goes directly against the forum rules.
Violating a TOS does not.Luckily this greatly simplifies what you as a poster needs to remember about piracy and this forum. Piracy is simply theft. Don't talk about stealing something, whether you've done it, or are going to do it. If you have obtained what you're talking about in a way the law would consider stealing, you're violating the piracy rule.Talking about violating a company's TOS with your legally obtained equipment and software does not violate this rule. If it did, there'd be no reason for this forum to exist. Rules of Social ConductThis shouldn't need to be said, but No abuse and no spam.
And don't make us have to define either. If you have any problems or questions, feel free to message a moderator. Problems?Have you botched the modding process? To answer a common question on botched installs; NO you do not have to undo anything. As long as your Wii is still (mostly) functional, find some help, start the modding process over. You (almost) never need to undo what you've already done.If you post a request for help, and it is eventually resolved in the thread, please update the original post with a solution so people won't have to hunt through the comments. Un-modding your WiiSimply put; No. It can be done to an extent, but there are some things you will never undo.
If you want to un-mod your Wii because your current mod job is causing problems, find a better tutorial, start over.If there is anything else you'd like added here, just PM it to one of the Mods. I've been trying to get this working for months, but keep hitting road blocks, so I'm hoping to get some help here.I have USB Loader GX set up and working, Priiloader drops me into it as soon as I turn on my Wii. I have Snes9x installed, with a channel on the Wii system menu. I keep the ROMs for it on the USB drive. I can not for the life of me launch Snes9x through USB Loader GX and load the ROMs from the USB drive. If I launch Snes9x through the system menu, I can load from the USB drive no problem. If I launch through the Homebrew channel, no problem.
If I launch through USB Loader GX's homebrew menu, no problem. If I launch the Snes9x channel through USB Loader GX, problem.
If the ROMs are on SD, then I can load those, but I'd rather have everything loaded from the same place, and my SD card is relatively tiny compared to my hard drive.Any suggestions?. Cause the channel forwarder isn't even built to work with GX. Each emulator would be launched from the homebrew channel or it's own channel forwarder.

Inside of the folder on the SD (for each emulator program) is a spot that says roms. Total size of those 3 systems roms would only be 10GB. I have every genesis, every nes, every snes, and about 200 GBA games with gigabytes of space left on a 16GB card. For each console you wish to emulate download it's own emulator and establish it's own channel forwarder. If you cannot find a channel forwarder check this terrible website called darkumbra and sign up. It looks bad but, has some of the only downloads of channel forwarders around still. Honestly USB loader and Wii flow got so little finished before the scene died that you should worry about basic functionality over anything else. I wish there was a better collection of the last of the files but, wiihacks.de and dark umbra are what i rely on for tons of the last versions of files.
In fact some Gcube emulator had it's entire source code and installers ripped of the internet just a few months back making every guide that talks about and links to it useless. I've hoarded tons of files and if you can't find something PM me I'll zip it up and upload it to mega or something.
